“As dark as Midnight on a Moonless Night” A phrase taken from Twin Peaks that is quoted in Veronique Branquinho’s curation of A Magazine, sets the mood for many of Branquinho’s collections,  which often allude to a dark kind of romanticism. 

This ivory silk evening dress with its buttoned up neck closure and its raw edged cuffs from the Fall 2006 collection perfectly embodies the above mentioned mood.

Styled with a turtleneck on the runway, the make up accentuated with red eyeliner, it does seem as if a woman escaped in the middle of night in her night gown, heading to a mysterious encounter in the woods. A gathering of witches perhaps?

With her accentuated waist band, the dress creates a beautiful feminine silhouette, that though the fabric completely covers the body, feels both sexy & not that innocent. 

The dress closes on the side with an invisible zipper

Size label reads 38, fits rather small.
