The piece is a stitch-to-stitch replica in silk voile of a worker’s boiler suit utilised in the construction industry discovered by Martin and his team. 

The piece features a sheer top half with long sleeves, two opaque chest pockets, a classic shirt collar and an opaque bottom half with a straight leg and a hidden string meant to cinch the waist on the inside of the garment.

The piece is a great showcase of Martin Margiela’s Replica philosophy, rooted in his fascination with the past and the stories embedded within garments.
