Everything rests upon the simplicity of the cuts and the quality of the fabric.

Same goes for this wonderful 2000’s leather coat, although for this piece, Jil permitted herself to add a few more details to its otherwise straight forward cut.

Made from the softest leather and dyed in a deep chocolate brown, the coat features a mandarin collar and is embellished with three decorative belts on the left chest, giving her a military character. 

The sleeves’s cuffs are adorned with another two belts. The zip closure of the coat and the two front pockets give the piece a modern touch.

People say that Jil makes clever modern pieces for intelligent modern women.
And this coat only confirms this statement.
