From the 1994 FW Men’s collection, this sweater is made from a wonderful chunky fluffy wool grey knit. 

The knit forms a zigzag composition of a thicker, loosely woven wool and a thinner, more tightly woven yarn. This combination creates an intriguing, complex pattern, full of random occurrences, where the hand of the maker, rather than that of the machine, is clearly noticeable.

Its deep neckline and the contours of the sleeves at the shoulders are traced with a leather string that is braided throughout the knit and finished with a modest knot. 

This particular, seemingly arbitrary creative decision only adds to the artisanal aspect of the cardigan.

It closes with a row of four large brown buttons.

Even though originally from the men’s collection, this sweater can be worn and loved by any.

Condition: very good, light pilling (easy to maintain with fabric razor)
