Beautiful archive piece from the conceptual Japanese brand Cosmic Wonder Light Source in an extra large circle shape, with large low hanging openings for the arms, creating a poncho like effect.

Made from two slightly different soft, pyjama-type light cotton striped fabrics, with thin blue stripes in front, and with thicker soft green stripes in the back. Its sculptural design is humbled by the ordinality of its material qualities.

A small coat of arms emblem is sewn onto the left front chest, reminiscent of preppy college uniforms.

With a small V-neck, she closes on the left shoulder with a row of four buttons.

Japanese artist Yukinori Maeda founded Cosmic Wonder in 1998. Begun as a collaborative art project in 2007, the idea was woven into Cosmic Wonder Light Source, described by the group as “a product composed of positive spirit and physical materials reverberated with the light of the natural world.”
