A wonderful powder blue cotton shirt from the Commes des Garçons Shirt diffusion line featuring a short-sleeved construction, a breast pocket and a stitched-in cuban collar.

The Shirt diffusion line was started by Rei Kawakubo in 1988 as a men’s line focusing on the revitalisation of wardrobe classics through her rebellious attitude, mainly, the work shirt.

The idea of CDG Shirt is visible in the details of the piece, where the established structure of a collar essentially becomes an embroidery, by taking the layers of fabric and stitching them all together into a seemingly uniform layer.

The shirt has an oversized fit with a boxy shoulder and is slightly longer in the back.
