Vintage 1980's black blazer-dress by Thierry Mugler.
The shoulders, the waist, the buttons. Mr. Mugler knows how to add some drama and power to all of his pieces, including a little black dress. This particular piece is no stranger to his vision: Mugler's traces can be seen in the details, especially the crystal broche-like front and cuff buttons that make this dress even more spectacular :)
Size: EU 40.
Model's height is 1,78m for reference.
Pre-loved in very good vintage condition.
Thierry Mugler came to his career in fashion design via dance and photography. He began designing clothes at 24 for a Parisian boutique, Gudule. After that he started doing freelance work for a variety of large ready-to-wear houses. His first collection debuted in 1973. Mugler became an internationally recognized designer during the 1980s and the 1990s. In George Michael’s music video of his single Too Funky, directed by Mugler, you see the brands identity. His over-the-top fashion shows, that embodied worlds of fantasy and theatrical elements, are perhaps Mugler’s greatest fashion legacy next to his fetishistics fashion. He retired in 2003.
