Early 2000's coral red cocktail dress by Sonia Rykiel.
Shoulder pads, flamboyant cleavage, and tie-like detail. This dress screams party in the front, business in the back, without losing its elegance.
Never before worn with original tags.
Sonia Rykiel (1930-2016) founded her fashion label in 1968. Next to being a designer, she was also a writer. Her first book was published in 1979. Rykiel invented various fashion techniques, eg. she was the first designer to put the seams outside of a garment, leaving hems unfinished. She will forever be remembered wandering the streets of Paris with her signature look: red hair cut into a bob with a heavy fringe and her dark muted colour palette.
