Kimono-like fit silk blouse with floral print by Prada.

Never before worn, with original tags. By Jeurissen archives.

Everything is about lightness,” said Miuccia Prada of her Spring 1997 Prêt-à-Porter collection. Putting aside the house’s signature nylon, she sought out fabrics with embroideries and jacquards. The collection consisted out of many sheer lingerie looks, as well as touches of military tailoring. It created the idea of the ethereal and dreamy Prada girl. The mood Glen Luchford would re-create in the iconic Amber Valletta ad he shot for the 1997 Spring Season.

Size: EU 44 but fits like a 34/36.
Shoulders: 45cm   Sleeves: 60cm   Chest: 40cm   Waist: 45cm

Miuccia Prada graduated with a political science degree from Milan University before she started designing accessories for the family business founded by her grandfather. She debuted her first womenswear collection in 1988 and introduced Miu Miu, a secondary line based on her own wardrobe, in 1992. Miuccia Prada’s pioneering approach also extended to architecture and a passion for contemporary art, which let to the creation of the Fondazione Prada in 1995.

Miuccia Prada is perhaps the most important designer of our time. The complexity of her designs have influenced her colleagues for years. Her eccentric and highly personal sensibility separates her from her contemporaries. Since February 2020 Raf Simons has been appointed as co-creative director of the Prada brand.
