Absolutely stunning, sculptural black wool coat from Comme des Garçon's SS 2006 collection.
The draping creates a very majestical, dramatic effect, emphasised by the crowns that were worn by the models on the runway.
The coat is made of draped Comme des Garçons produced light black wool fabric, with the brand's name repeated on its edges, as if pulled straight from the fabric's roll.
With its open armpits and rough edges, it's lack of lining and stitching, the construction of the piece creates a stark contrast with its majestic appeal. Granting her simultaneously a rich and poor allure.
She closes on the collar with a hook closure.
Wear her open over an evening dress or casual jeans, or close her around the waist with a belt as the original runway looks suggest, turning her into something of a dress.
A statement piece for your wardrobe.
